“Well, you will. You’ll be a mom.”
So I spent a good chunk of my childhood and young adulthood:
preparing to be a mom,
preparing to be a wife,
preparing to be perfect.
But I still wanted to do something big.
I still wanted to be something important.
I still wanted to change people’s lives. After I had my first child, I realized I couldn’t be a stay-at-home mom. So I worked my ass off.
I took every opportunity I could find — sometimes working two or three jobs at a time.
And now, I’m a partner at a mergers and acquisitions firm.
I hear their stories — why they started their companies, the struggles, the triumphs — and I get to celebrate their incredible accomplishments. And then I get to help them reach the next level.
Whether it’s getting their company ready to go to market,
or helping them sell the company so they can finally take that worldwide vacation, or maybe franchise and scale —
And I’m so excited — and so lucky — to be part of that story for them.
And we talked about how hard it is to fit into a world that so often feels like it was built for men.
how we’re talked down to,
how our accomplishments are often credited to our husbands,
how we’re put on the “mommy track,”
how even when we join clubs, our experiences carry less value,
and how it’s hard to open up in conversations led by men.
I realized there’s potential here — the opportunity to form a community.
Something I’ve craved.
A group of women who’ve lived similar experiences. Women who want to make a difference. And guess what? I have the resources to make that happen. A community for women entrepreneurs who want to take their companies to the next level.
Women who want to buy businesses.
"This is not just about business — it’s about legacy, belonging, and rewriting the rules for women’s wealth.
Ownership isn’t optional — it’s overdue."
